The Reading and Birthday Reading

Both run the same Master Prompt plus deterministic computation pipeline as the standalone Reading. The Reading uses your natal chart at birth. The Birthday Reading uses your solar return chart cast for the exact moment the Sun returns to its natal degree, in the location where you live now.

Monthly transit letters

Each letter is composed within 48 hours of its scheduled delivery date. The practitioner pulls the live ephemeris for the upcoming month, identifies transits hitting your natal placements within five degrees of orb, computes your Personal Month math, and drafts the letter against both layers. Hand-finished before sending.

Personal Year math

Your Personal Year is calculated by adding your day and month of birth to the current calendar year and reducing. Personal Months derive from Personal Year + month number. The math is deterministic; the interpretation pulls from Pythagorean and Cheiro source texts.

Quarterly anchors

The fourth, eighth, and twelfth letters run longer (1,200-1,500 words) and include a brief check-in on what the year has and has not delivered against the Birthday Reading's framing. The twelfth doubles as a year-close synthesis.

First of twelve. Each month opens with your Personal Month math drawn from the date of your last solar return, plus your active Pinnacle and Challenge. Names the month's central theme in numerology terms before any astrology. Eight hundred to twelve hundred words.

The transit-specific layer of every monthly letter. Mercury direct dates, Mars retrograde windows, eclipse activations to your natal chart, outer-planet ingresses that touch your placements in this 30-day window. Drawn from real ephemeris, not generic horoscopes. When a transit lands within five degrees of one of your natal placements, the letter says so by name and date.

Each monthly letter weaves the Personal Month math with the live transits. When your Personal Month is a Karmic Debt 16 AND Saturn squares your natal Mercury exactly that month, the letter names the doubled emphasis. When your Personal Month is a Five (change month) AND there's no major transit, the letter names that too · five energy without a sky-trigger plays differently.

Each letter closes with three to five concrete actionables drawn from the math, not from inspirational platitudes. Not affirmations. Why The Year exists

The Year exists because The Reading alone is not designed to track time. It is a portrait. A portrait does not change. The Year is the moving companion to the portrait · the version that asks "and what is happening RIGHT NOW."

The monthly letters are the part of this work I most enjoy writing. The Reading is composed once. The letters are composed against your live transits twelve times across an orbit, which means the letter you get in your fifth month is fundamentally different from the letter you got in your second, because the sky is different and your Personal Month is different and you are different.

If you run mostly intuitive work without much technical depth · if you read horoscopes for vibe and not for math · The Year may surprise you. The math hits more often than vibe-readers expect. The transits actually do show up on the days the letter said they would. People email me after the third or fourth letter and ask whether I am cheating somehow.

When does the year actually start?

The Reading arrives within 24 hours of purchase. The scheduling email arrives within 48 hours. Monthly letters begin the next calendar month and run for twelve months. The Birthday Reading arrives within 24 hours of your solar return date, regardless of when you purchased.

How are monthly letters scheduled and delivered?

By hand for now. The practitioner schedules each month's letter against your live transits and sends it directly to your email at your chosen cadence. When the email automation pipeline is built (target: late 2026), delivery moves to automatic.

What if I prefer letters at a different cadence than start-of-month?

At scheduling you can choose: start of month (default), mid-month, or near your Personal Month rollover (a numerology-precise option that varies by date of birth). Most readers pick start of month. Some practitioners prefer the rollover cadence because it aligns to their Personal Year math.

What if I miss a letter or my email filter eats one?

Email the practitioner. Letters are kept on file and re-sent at no charge. Add the practitioner's email to your contacts at scheduling to reduce filter risk.

Can I gift The Year?

Yes. Use the recipient's birth data at checkout and the Reading goes to whatever email you list. The Birthday Reading and twelve letters all forward to that same email. Gift wrap is a beautifully designed PDF cover the recipient sees on opening.

What if I move, switch jobs, get divorced, or have something major happen mid-year?

The letters track your chart, not your address. The chart does not change because your circumstances did. If something major shifts, email the practitioner and the next letter will adjust to where you actually are. Major life events often align to specific transits the Birthday Reading already named, which can be useful information.

What is the refund policy?

The 14-day refund applies. After day 14, partial refunds at the practitioner's discretion based on what has shipped. The Reading PDF and any Birthday Reading or monthly letter that has already arrived you keep regardless. You cannot un-receive work that has shipped.

Can I add The Conversation to The Year?

Yes. Email after purchase and the $129 credit applies toward the upgrade. Many readers add The Conversation as a mid-year check-in (month six is a popular slot).

What if my birth time is unknown?

The Reading and Birthday Reading note time-dependent placements. The monthly letters work without exact birth time but lose some house-specific transit precision. Send what you have; the reading explicitly names what it had to estimate.

Is the practitioner reading every monthly letter before it ships?

Yes. Every letter is read end-to-end before delivery. The practitioner often catches transit nuances the model alone misses (Saturn-Pluto cazimi events, eclipse degree sensitivity to your natal placements, lunar nodes hitting key houses).

Can I get the monthly letters as PDFs instead of email body?

Yes. At scheduling, request PDF delivery and each letter arrives as a designed PDF attachment. Default is plain-text email body because most readers want to read the letter the moment it lands without opening an attachment.

What happens to my birth data after the year ends?

Retained for ninety days after the final letter for support purposes (refund window, recomposition requests). Then automatically purged unless you have re-purchased The Year for the next cycle, in which case retention extends.

Is The Year worth more than a $9-per-month horoscope app?

Different category. A horoscope app gives you sun-sign content drawn from public ephemeris and templated copy. The Year gives you nine numerology traditions, your full natal chart, your specific Personal Year math, your live transits with degree-of-orb specificity, and twelve hand-finished letters in a master-reader voice. If you read horoscopes for vibe, an app is fine. If you want depth that holds up against your lived year, this is the product.

Why is this priced lower than a year of monthly readings with a private numerologist?

A private numerologist running monthly check-ins typically charges $100-200 per month, totaling $1,200-2,400 a year.
